#6 – THE HUNGER GAMES (2012)

The thought of kids killing each other probably would’ve been an absurd idea to bring to film in the previous decade, but not in this one, especially not when it deals with very real issues concerning societal differences. Also, it doesn’t hurt to have a heroine who knows how to shoot a bow! This movie helped start the trend of young female leads in film.
