#8 – THE HATE U GIVE (2018)

Considering that the book was published in 2017, the film was released rather quickly due to the positive reader response and major relevant subject in our current times. It hit home for many (especially in minority communities) in regards to racial tensions with authority figures and the trickiness of finding true allies.
