Devon Bostick will be the first audio narrator to take on TALES FROM THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY!

When The Mortal Instruments series ended, fans were equal parts devastated and enthralled by Simon’s ending. Thankfully, Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, and Robin Wasserman have decided to expand upon Simon’s journey into Shadowhunter training in a collection of novellas titled TALES FROM THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY!

The first novella from the collection is called WELCOME TO THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY, which follows Simon’s early days of Shadowhunter training, now has its audio book narrator!

Devon Bostick, best known as Jasper on The CW’s THE 100, will is the first voice of Simon Lewis!

Clare announced the choice on her tumblr and gave a few reasons why Devon’s experience as Jasper will him a great Simon:

Anyway, we are so thrilled, both because we watch and love The 100, and because Devon Bostick does such a great job as Jasper: a nerdy guy who loves a lady who loves another… yet who is extremely brave, kind, and valiantly rescues his team when they are in trouble. (Sound familiar?)

So we are sure he will be a perfect fit for our introduction to Simon Lewis, Shadowhunter in training: in some ways a different guy to the guy we knew—the guy he became—through the Mortal Instruments. We lost that guy, the TMI characters lost that guy, Simon himself lost that guy… and now Simon has to work out if he can get him back.

Bostick joins a slew of wonderful Shadowunter audio book narrators, including Molly C. Quinn, David Oyelowo, Jesse Williams, Mae Whitman, Sophie Turner, and Ed Westwick.

WELCOME TO THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY comes out on February 17, 2015!
