Disney introduces fans to all the details they didn’t know about 2002’s Lilo & Stitch!

There are lots of decisions that go into making fantastical animated features like Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, some of which might surprise you. It’s amazing how one or two details could have produced a totally different film– and almost did!

Check out 11 new facts from Disney that explain the unique attributes of the alien friendship story and how it could have been something else entirely.

For instance, did you know that the original concept for the film was all about Stitch arriving on a strange planet? Lilo wasn’t even part of the story until several drafts in!
