Take a Look Back with Our 2017 Book-to-Movie Year in Review

2017’s crop of Young Adult movie adaptations were small, but pretty faithful to their written counterparts.

Reviewers Nat, the Geek Girl, Molly, Leslie, and Kait give us their thoughts on the films that were adapted from YA books, which were Patrick Ness’s A Monster Calls, Lauren Oliver’s Before I Fall, Nicola Yoon’s Everything, Everything, and R.J. Palacio’s Wonder.

But before we get to the movies, here’s a list of what 2017 books our reviewers would love to see be adapted into film:

Molly – A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
Leslie – Warcross by Marie Lu
Kait – Dear Martin by Nic Stone
Nat – Wild Bird by Wendelin van Draanen

Southern California native who likes movies, books (Shadowhunter Chronicles, NA, YA fantasy, Red Rising series), TV shows (The Sandman), and San Diego Comic-Con. I also like to write, but don't get to do much of that aside from on here. I fell into the BTS rabbit hole, and I refuse to leave.
