5 Actors Who Should Be Cast as the Next Villain On ARROW

Check out these 5 Actors Who Should Be Cast as the Next Villain On ARROW

Guest Post by Mike Jones.

Season 4 of CW’s Arrow is still going strong, with Oliver Queen and the rest of his ever-changing team pulling up their sleeves, ready to defend Starling City once again. And let’s face it, how many of us really expected that Oliver would set up in a normal, suburban life with the quirky Felicity Smoak? As much as he wanted it, it was not the life for him. The right choice in partner, but not the right setting.

However, there’s new trouble always brewing in the dark city and plenty more bad guys to take out. Or, actually, to be brought to justice, because the Arrow is staying firm on his “no killing policy”. Although we can admit that he’s treading that line very carefully, and it has frustrated the audience several times. Sometimes, even we think the vigilante way is the right one, but we’re mostly glad Oliver is trying to walk down the good path. Let’s see how long that lasts considering what’s been going on lately on the show and what the next episode promises.

His return to Starling City has not exactly been a picnic, but there is a long list of villains that the fandom is ready to meet. Here are some of the actors we definitely want to see on Arrow, because they have shown their true talent at creating memorable villains.

#5 Chris Wood

Chris is a newcomer to TV, one that has appeared in several CW shows such as The Carrie Diaries and The Vampire Diaries. In fact, Wood played quite a convincing villain in the latter, showing off his skills at acting or performing like a perfect psychopath. On the flipside, he has also shown himself to deal well with the emotional toll that is required for redemption. However, we like him better as a murderous villain, filled with the intent of killing everyone for the sake of power.

He’s currently starring in a new CW series called Containment, but we’d like to see him on Arrow as the Rainbow Archer or Gunhawk.

#4 Mark Pellegrino

Given that his history includes playing Lucifer on Supernatural, Pellegrino could be an excellent addition for Arrow. Taking into account the series’ “darker tone” than others, such as The Flash, it’s possible to integrate a few actors who have shown their talents of playing… well, pure evil. Pellegrino would certainly fit the bill because he has it all: the dark humor, the brooding look of a killer, and the smile of someone who is definitely scheming.

Pellegrino is currently on Supernatural, but we’d like to see him join Arrow as Steelclaw.

#3 Sam Witwer

He can play evil, conflicted, corrupted, and redeemed. Witwer has been starring on the series Being Human and once appeared in Once Upon a Time, but we believe it’s time for him to get himself a bigger role on a more popular show. The actor has the physical fitness to play someone who might actually go head to head with Oliver. And if his face looks familiar, it’s because he was also the voice actor for the protagonist of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Here’s hoping he took some fighting lessons for that one.

Witwer is currently lending his voice on Star Wars Rebels, but we’d like to see him on Arrow as Constantine Drakon or NKVDemon.

#2 Andrew Scott

The actor has become known for playing one of the cleverest and most iconic geniuses in fiction. Scott displayed an incredible performance as Sherlock Holmes’ nemesis, Moriarty, on BBC’s Sherlock. It’s not like the accent couldn’t be changed for a particular part. It will be worth it because Scott could bring an unusual tint of evil genius to the show.

Scott is currently on Sherlock, but we’d like to see him as Dr. Light or The Star City Slayer.

#1 Iwan Rheon

You know you’re playing a good villain when you’re placed toe to toe with one of the most hated characters in TV history. Rheon has not gained popularity from Game of Thrones, but instead was brought to the public’s attention with another TV series called Misfits. However, it’s safe to say which one is more memorable. Rheon’s fantastic performance as Ramsay Bolton on Game of Thrones has placed him on an equal level with the widely hated and gladly-killed-off Joffrey. He’s got the serial killer smile and stare that just scream “DANGER”!

Rheon is currently on Game of Thrones, but we would like to see him as Onomatopoeia or Killer Moth on Arrow.

There are many, many more that could make an appearance. The DC fandom is screaming, and it only remains to be seen if CW will answer. The show has been renewed for a fifth season, so it’s possible we might see some of them soon enough. Fingers crossed!
