7 Movie Adaptations of Books We’re Looking Forward to Seeing This Year

Other possible releases for 2016

The following are in the works, but not much has been revealed about them.

Before I Fall

Based on the book Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

Although we’ve posted some images from author Lauren during her visit on set during production, a release date has not been confirmed although it’s been posted on IMDB that it will be released in 2016.  However, it wouldn’t be a surprise if a target release date would be more around February 2017.

The cast seems to be getting along well and Zoey Deutch as the high schooler Samantha Kingston looks to be a great casting choice.  Somewhat of a Groundhog Day meets Mean Girls premise, this will attract mainly young adults and girls.  However, it has a chance to be something as unique as the book itself.

Let It Snow

Based on the collection of stories Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle

With Green’s name on the book, this is sure to draw fans.  Despite it having a confirmed release date of December 6, 2016, there hasn’t been much news about it since June 2015.  When it does happen, we’ll be there sitting in the theater waiting for our winter romance tales.
