A Real-Life Version of the Magic Weasley Whereabouts Clock

This is probably as close to a magic item that a muggle can get to.  A dad actually made a real-life version of the magic Weasley clock!


This is what it says under the description:

Here’s my finished whereabout clock setting the status for all four feeds. The clock uses a wireless connection to retrieve four twitter feeds, parse them, and decide where to set the hands. It then passes the information to an arduino board which drives four servo motors to turn the hands. Read the whole build log at

And to think that Twitter was just a means of shouting out your thoughts in 160 characters or less.  Brilliant!
