J.A.R.V.I.S may not make an appearance in the Marvel throwback TV series AGENT CARTER, but the man who inspired his name certainly will!
James D’Arcy (HITCHCOCK, CLOUD ATLAS) will take on the role of Howard Stark’s faithful butler and occasional ally during some risky covert operations, Edwin Jarvis.
In the original IRON MAN comics, Jarvis was Tony’s butler, but he was replaced by a savvy supercomputer in the film adaptations. Still, introducing the character to AGENT CARTER is a smart way to tie him into the MCU and show off the man who clearly earned himself a spot in Tony Stark’s heart.
As for more tech-y J.A.R.V.I.S., Paul Bettany will be returning in the voice-over role as well as portraying The Vision in THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, something Joss Whedon says is “not a coincidence.”
