According to Brett Dalton, Grant Ward wants the same thing as Coulson
In this Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. behind-the-scenes featurette, we get some insight into what exactly is Grant Ward’s end game, and apparently, it’s not that far from Coulson’s. It may even be the same thing as what Coulson wants. Brett Dalton explains that despite being a villain to Coulson’s S.H.I.E.L.D. team, Ward has the game goal, and that is world peace.
Obviously, Ward’s approach is probably a bit different than Coulson’s in attaining that goal.
