Powers Boothe, an iconic actor with a knack for villainy, has died.
Emmy Award-winning actor Powers Boothe, who most recently starred as World Security Council member and secret Hydra operative Gideon Malick on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., has passed away at 68.
Boothe had a number of memorable roles during his career in projects like 24, Red Dawn, Tombstone, and Deadwood. According to Deadline, he died of natural causes.
The news just broke overnight but several popular actors, including some from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., have already posted tributes to the longtime actor.
