Marvel’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR repercussions hit AGENTS OF SHIELD!
Warning: This post includes minor spoilers for Captain America: Civil War.
The Marvel entertainment universe: It’s all connected!
If you thought you could watch tonight’s episode of Agents of SHIELD titled “Emancipation” without any spoilers for Captain America: Civil War, which was released in theaters last Friday, you would be wrong. When it comes to keep the movie and television properties in line, Marvel means business! That means the SHIELD show is picking back up in the direct aftermath of Civil War and incorporating that story line into their own.
Here’s the synopsis:
In the aftermath of the events of Captain America: Civil War, S.H.I.E.L.D. feels pressure to reveal their involvement with Inhumans. But with the stakes higher than ever and Hive growing stronger, the team is tested in ways they could never anticipate.
It isn’t an all-out spoiler, but it definitely points to the film’s outcome.
Check out the “Emancipation” promo!
Hive’s first experiment to create his own Inhumans didn’t go so well, but Dr. John Hannah is “100 percent fairly certain” he’s found the key to getting it right. If he succeeds, SHIELD will be put under some serious pressure by the evolution of several new Inhumans!
Another clip shows Director Coulson feeling the pressure to go along with the Civil War mandates in a meaning with General Talbot.
Among all the political talk, a third clip is promising some really exciting action! After being chased into an alley, we’re seeing the power of Hellfire (aka Ghost Rider’s grandson) with a chain whip in hand!
Agents of SHIELD‘s “Emancipation” airs tonight on ABC.
