Find out who’s in charge in the latest look at THE DEFENDERS!

There’s a power shift in the last clip from Marvel’s The Defenders, which premiered during Comic-Con and offers a new look at the show’s antagonist.

The clip shows Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho) meeting with the mysterious villain Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver) in Central Park. It quickly becomes clear that Madame Gao, who has largely appeared to be the big bad of the universe until this point, ranks under Alexandra, who exudes power throughout the scene.

Alexandra clearly has sway over the many criminal organizations that Gao works with, and she’s not happy about the superheroes, who she sees as a potential threat to success. That would explain why she’s going after them (and everyone they care about) at full speed.
