All HARRY POTTER Movies Will Be Coming to HBO

All eight HARRY POTTER films will be on HBO in January 2018!

Harry Potter’s spin-off Fantastic Beasts is already available on HBO, but soon the whole magical franchise will be available across all of HBO’s platforms. Starting on January 1st, all eight Potter films will air on HBO. This will be the first time all nine movies will air unedited and without interruptions on a network, and will stream on the connected streaming service.

HBO executive vice president of business affairs and president of TV programming, Bruce Givetti, is very excited about the addition:

“We are delighted to welcome the Harry Potter films to our catalogue of award-winning original programming and crowd-pleasing theatrical films. HBO has a long-standing reputation as the home of the best classic and recently released Hollywood movies, and having the Harry Potter franchise furthers our objective to bring quality entertainment to our subscribers across all of our platforms.”

The series will be streaming on HBO GO, HBO NOW, HBO On Demand, and affiliate platforms. HBO will be ringing in the new year with a Potter marathon starting at 9am on January 1st, and ending with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them early in the morning of January 2nd. HBO Family will then be airing the films over the course of nine days, starting January 2nd at 8pm. Check out the schedule below:

NBC Universal also previously announced that the franchise would air on its network channels, though that deal doesn’t start until July 2018.

This seems like the perfect way to kick off 2018. I know I’ll be tuning in for as many Harry Potter marathons as possible this season.
