This week’s Supernatural deals “All in the Family” when the Winchesters seek help from Chuck to deal with Amara.

It’s “All in the Family” in Wednesday’s Supernatural episode when Castiel/Lucifer, or Casifer as fans know him as, is being held and tortured by Amara and the Winchesters call for Chuck aka God for help.

After last week’s episode in which Rob Benedict returned to reprise his role as writer Chuck Shurley to finally reveal what fans had theorized long ago, that he is actually God, creator of man, we were interested to see what his role for the rest of the season would be since his sister Amara has been causing all kinds of trouble on Earth.  Would he let her go on killing off his creations, or would he actually fight?  It was somewhat answered last week, but this week looks to his role on a more personal level to the Winchesters.

Amara (guest star Emily Swallow) shows Dean (Jensen Ackles) how she’s torturing Lucifer (Misha Collins). Worried for Castiel, Dean and Sam (Jared Padalecki) come up with a plan to rescue him from Amara’s clutches. Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Eugenie Ross-Leming & Brad Buckner (#1121). Original airdate 5/11/2016.
