Allegiant Cast Interview talks about long-form storytelling

The Allegiant cast interview has Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and other members talk about long-form storytelling regarding trilogies

The first two Divergent films have blown up the theaters earning more than $550 million at the global box office, and with the release of the third movie, the Allegiant cast talk about the storytelling format of the series.  

Allegiant, the third book in the Divergent series, is centered around Tris and her followers discovering a world beyond the Wall. The cast has sat down to discuss the movie, directed by Robert Schwentke, and below is the interview with Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Zoë Kravitz, Octavia Spencer, Miles Teller and Naomi Watts.

Other Allegiant cast members include Ray Stevenson, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q., Keiynan Lonsdale, Jonny Weston, Mekhi Phifer, Daniel Dae Kim, Nadia Hilker and Bill Sakargård. There will also be a new character in this movie – David – who will be played by Jeff Daniels.

The screenplay for the movie was written by Noah Oppenheim, Adam Cooper, Bill Collage, and Stephen Chbosky, with Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher, and Pouya Shabazian producing the film. Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman along with Barry Waldman and Neil Burger are executive producing the film. The entire project is being overseen by Erik Feig, Gillian Bohrer, and Matt Janzen.

The movie is based on Veronica Roth’s New York best-selling series which has sold over 34 million copies worldwide. Allegiant, alone, sold 455,000 copies on its first day breaking a company record for HarperCollins Publishers.
