FRANKLY IN LOVE doesn’t come out for another year, but it’s already ready for it’s big screen close-up!

Back in April, Penguin Random House announced that it had won the book rights to David Yoon‘s debut novel Frankly In Love after a fierce multi-publisher bidding war.

The novel isn’t expected out until Fall 2019, but the story is already slated for film!

According to Deadline, Alloy Entertainment and Paramount Pictures have acquired the rights to the novel, which as described as “a take on identity and race as seen through the eyes of a Korean-American teen caught between his parents’ traditional expectations and his own Southern California upbringing.”

Alloy also produced the adaptations Everything, Everything and The Sun Is Also A Star, both written by bestselling author Nicola Yoon, who also happens to be David’s wife.
