Meet the ex-con and the con man of AMERICAN GODS, then check out the insane opening title sequence!

It’s finally April, the month during which American Gods will hit our television screens!

STARZ is slowly teasing the show with the release of some new character videos and the opening title sequence, which first made a splash at CinemaCon before hitting the Internet.

First, we meet the show’s main character: An ex-con named Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) who finds himself tied up in some very strange business shortly after his release.

This strange business is perpetrated in part thanks to Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), a slick con man with some troubling ties and more that a few secrets tucked away for a rainy day.

The title sequence is a bit overwhelming but certainly an eye-catcher, filled with flashy lights, religious imagery, hi-tech shots, and some downright creepy music. It definitely shows you that this show will be eccentric and unexpected.
