“Transparent” star Amy Landecker lands a role in Doctor Strange
Amy Landecker, star of the Amazon original series “Transparent,” has been cast in Marvel’s Doctor Strange movie, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role.
Scheduled to hit theaters November 4, 2016, Doctor Strange is scripted by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus, Passengers) and directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Deliver Us From Evil). It is said to follow the story of neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.
Landecker’s role has yet to be disclosed, but the cast already boasts a very talented list, and adding Landecker would continue to build up that talent. The cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, and Michael Stuhlbarg, who was also just recently announced to be part of the cast.
Doctor Strange is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 4, 2016.
