We get an inside look at Game of Thrones episode 43, High Sparrow, as showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss explain what the characters faced in this third episode of season five.
They start with Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) and her attitude towards Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) now that Tywin Lannister is dead, and her desire to be queen now that she can wed again to Tommen, Cersei’s other son. They then explain Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) inability to fully let go of Needle, and why. Lastly, they talk about Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and what he must do to gain the respect of the men under his lead.
George R.R. Martin further explains the Faceless Men, and Arya’s reluctance to fully be a faceless man, to deny her identity.
