If you haven’t watched the Anastasia, the 20th Century Fox animated movie, then we definitely recommend it. Plus, we are super excited about this!
From the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920’s, the new musical ANASTASIA is the romantic and rousing story of a brave young woman attempting to discover the mystery of her past while finding a place for herself in the rapidly changing world of a new century. With a rich and sweeping score that evokes the opulence of Russian aristocracy and the energy of Paris street life, ANASTASIA is the ultimate journey of a woman caught between the pull of the past and the promise of the future.
The new musical is inspired by the Twentieth Century Fox Motion Pictures and will be at the Broadhurst Theatre in 2017.
The musical will feature such songs as “Journey to the Past” and “Once Upon a December,” along with new music written just for the stage.
Christy Altomare is playing the title role while Derek Klena while be taking on her love interest, Dmitry.
