While we haven’t really posted any Star Wars news in quite some time on our website, we can’t help but bring to note this juicy tidbit, because, let’s face it, it is quite fandom-worthy news, and we’d be remiss not to talk about it. So, EW posted about 3 particularly popular actors from the original Star Wars films being in the same general vicinity at the same time. Surely, this is not breaking news, but one does find it curious to know that these 3 actors are Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill, that the location in which they are in, London, happens to be where Pinewood Studios is, and that Pinewood Studios is the studio in which the new Star Wars movies are about to start filming.
Still, it really doesn’t mean anything… does it?
Well, one final tidbit is that Peter Serafinowicz, the guy who voiced Darth Maul in Episode 1, The Phantom Menace, actually took a picture with Mark Hamill, and tweeted about it with a tease of a statement:
Met up with @HamillHimself in London today. I wonder why he’s here. pic.twitter.com/zXpnxWaHyN

I’m hesitant to go all ballistic about this revelation, for a number of reasons, one of which is that the already established and excellent expanded universe will apparently not be part of this new series of Star Wars films. But I can’t deny that a little part of me is very interested (and geekgasmic) in seeing those 3 actors on screen together again, as those 3 incomparable characters they played in the originals.
What do you think? You think Mark, Harrison, and Carrie are actually going to be in the new Star Wars movies? And if so, what did director J.J. Abrams say to convince them to return to a galaxy far, far away?
