BATMAN V SUPERMAN “Ultimate Edition” home release to include Rated R cut!
When Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters next month, it will be Rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality.” But when the film reaches its yet-to-be-announced home video release date, the rating will kick up a notch!
The Motion Picture Association of America has approved a Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice “Ultimate Edition” for home entertainment distribution that will include a Rated R cut of the film. According to Entertainment Weekly, there is no official word on what will be added to the 2 hour 31 minute movie, but the MPAA notes more violence in that version.
Director Zack Snyder isn’t known to skimp on the violence or gore, so it seems he had to cut back a bit for the final version of the film to keep a more family-friendly rating. Thankfully, we can get the full scale of his vision with the Ultimate Edition!
Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
