Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera’s WHAT IF IT’S US Optioned For Film

Arthur and Ben are heading to the big screen!

Becky Albertalli (Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda) and Adam Silvera (They Both Die At The End)’s collaboration What If It’s Us hasn’t been published yet, but the hype is so big that the queer meet-cute romantic comedy is already heading to the big screen!

Production company Anonymous Content snagged the rights to the novel and has tapped 13 Reasons Why showrunner Brian Yorkey to write the screenplay, as well as Joy Gorman Wettels and Kat Ramsburg to produce.

“The universe couldn’t have presented a more perfect dream team than Brian, Joy, and Kat. We immediately fell in love with their vision for this film, and we can’t wait to watch them bring ‘What If It’s Us’ to life,” said Albertalli and Silvera in a statement to Variety.

Anonymous Content has produced several recent shows and movies including Boy Erased, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Winter’s Bone.

Additional details about the project are not yet available, but stay tuned!
