Ben Affleck is taking The Dark Knight’s tale into his own hands!
The DC Comics movie universe has already been spelled out for the next five years, but it looks like there’s a shake up in the works! Ben Affleck is planning to give fans even more Batman in a standalone film with some very personal touches!
According to Variety, Ben Affleck is currently co-writing a script for a Batman solo project with DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns. Affleck also plans to direct and (obviously) star in the Caped Crusader film, which will shift around the DC schedule and could come out as early as 2018.
The script is expected to be done by late summer. Affleck will direct Live By Night, a film based off the Dennis Lehane novel of the same name, this fall and return to the Batman project upon the former’s completion.
