Your favorite healthcare companion is back but this time on the small screen!

Get ready for the return of Baymax, Hiro, and the rest of the gang! Disney has announced that their blockbuster hit Big Hero 6 will be heading to a small screen near you. Our favorite animated hero’s will be making their television debut on Disney XD in 2017.

The series will pick up right where it left off in San Fransokyo with Hiro, the teenage tech wiz, Baymax, his marshmallow like healthcare companion and friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, GoGo and Fred trying to adjust back to normal as they return to the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology after taking down Professor Craig in the 2014 film.

Hiro for the first time is trying to adjust to life as a normal kid. After the unfortunate death of his brother Tadashi, Hiro decides to join his friends at the “Nerd School” but things wont go as smooth as he hopes. He has to adjust and deal with the trials and tribulations of being a teenage genius as well as a normal teen dealing with every day academic and personal issues.But don’t think that’s all the series will be focusing on. There’s still a lot of villians that the team must unite to protect their beloved city from.

Big Hero 6 was 2014’s highest-grossing animated film and won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film that year.
