BLACK PANTHER Releases Synopsis, Confirms Andy Serkis’ Return to MCU

Marvel has released the first official synopsis for the next winter’s major studio release, Black Panther!

Fans were introduced to T’Challa aka Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) in Captain America: Civil War, but the solo film will see his on his own major adventure as he becomes king and defends his country.

Check out the synopsis below.

“Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.”

The conflict will be with Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan,) a Wakandan exile with nefarious plans that start with overthrowing the new king.

The movie also confirmed it will be welcoming back a character from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Andy Serkis will return as Ulysses Klaue, who lost his arm when Ultron shot it off in the vibranium mine scene. In the comics, Klaue has a supersonic weapon retrofitted as a new arm and uses it to fight Black Panther, among other superhero foes.

Black Panther‘s all-star cast also includes Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown, Martin Freeman, and more. The film will hit theaters on February 16, 2018.
