Black Widow and the rest of the CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER crew have been confirmed to return for the Cap’s next adventure.
It looks like Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow will make it through THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON mostly unscathed after all.
The AVENGERS sequel has been promising death and destruction that will uproot the original team, which had many fans speculating that Black Widow may meet her fate when the film is released on May 1. However, the Russo brothers have smashed that rumor with confirmation that Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) will all play a role in the third CAPTAIN AMERICA film, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER.
The co-directing Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, gave the details on characters involved during a press conference in China:

Captain America and Black Widow have an easy, somewhat flirtatious rapport that we really love seeing on screen. However, Black Widow also has a dark part and it’s one to trust easily, so it will be interested in seeing where she stands in the split between heroes portrayed in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. Bucky Barnes will also play a pivotal role in the rift, seeing that “The Winter Soldier” was implicated in the death of Tony Stark’s father, Howard Stark.
