Cameron Cuffe grabs his first major lead role as the ancestor of the Superman in the SyFy prequel series, Krypton.
You may not be familiar with his name now, but that could change with this highly anticipated prequel series based off the legendary comic-book superhero, Superman. We are talking about Krypton, a series that focuses on the goings-on of Superman’s home planet. And Cameron Cuffe will be playing Seg-El, father of Jor-El, grandfather of Kal-El. The story presumably takes place during a low moment in the El family’s history.
Seg-El is the scion of the once prosperous El family and is blessed with an intuitive brilliance for all things technical. He is now living in Krypton’s lowest caste after his family was stripped of its rank.
It sounds like there will be more politics drama involved in the series than any other Superman-based show or movie has done, but being it’s on SyFy, there will still be some action involved throughout.
David S. Goyer (Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Man of Steel), who created the show, co-write the pilot episode with Ian Goldberg (Dead of Summer, Once Upon a Time). No official start date has been set.
