CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET? movie adaptation signs Alexandra Daddario to star

Alexandra Daddario will play the lead in the movie adaptation of Sophie Kinsella’s adult romantic-comedy book, CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET?

Sophie Kinsella’s 2003 book Can You Keep a Secret? is going to be a movie, and after all these years, they’ve finally made a casting announcement. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief star Alexandra Daddario will be taking on the role of Emma Corrigan, a young lady who discloses all her secrets to Jack Harper, the CEO of a company. The problem is the person she verbally vomited all her secrets to just happens to be the CEO of not just bany company, but the company that she works for.

Sounds like the start of a delightful romantic comedy, which would be a nice change of pace amongst the superhero action movies and the independent dramatic ones.

Daddario is the first casting announcement for the film, which is based on Kinsella’s besteller of the same name. This is the second book of Kinsella’s that’ll be adapted into film. Her first one was Confessions of a Shopaholic, the first book in the Shopaholic series. That one starred Isla FIsher, Hugh Dancy, and Jessica Jones‘ Krysten Ritter.

BCDF Pictures will be taking productions duties for this book adaptation. And it’s not the only book adaptation on their list. They’re also going to take on Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush, Hush, as has just recently acquired Marie Lu’s Legend novel from CBS Films.

Daddario can next be seen in the drama/mystery We Have Always Lived in the Castle, and the action/thriller Nomis.
