Cassie and Evan have a close call in this clip from THE 5TH WAVE!
When humanity has nearly hit extinction thanks to a sudden alien scourge, it’s probably a good idea to be weary of strangers. So it makes sense that Cassie is on the run from someone despite their hospitable nature in the latest look at The 5th Wave!
The clip shows Cassie Sullivan (Chloe Grace Moretz) escapign from a house in the woods, but not getting very far before she’s tracked down by Evan Walker (Alex Roe). Evan has mastered his surroundings, so Cassie is definitely at a disadvantage. The stranger seemingly has good intentions, though, as he manages to save Cassie from the “Others” lurking about in the area during the struggle.
We’re not sure exactly when the scene takes place. Did Cassie just wake up after her terrible gunshot wound to the leg? Or has she already met Evan and remains weary of his kindness? Either way, we’re intrigued by the dynamic between these two characters and we can’t wait to see how it plays out on screen!
The 5th Wave hits theaters on January 22, 2016.
