Considering how well the show is doing in ratings (and in pirating), it’s no surprise that when it came down to signing the main actors of the series into a seventh season of HBO’s Game of Thrones, it was going to involve an increase in pay.
Thus, following a tiered salary system, the following are getting major bumps in pay – Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister).
The second set of casting to get an increase, are Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), and Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell).
And then others will also get a little bit of a pay raise as well.
You may think this means that the characters these actors play are sure to stick around through seven seasons, but hey, you just never know when it comes to the Game of Thrones.
