Casts of THG, GOT, and TWD to appear on Conan O’Brien during SDCC

The Hunger Games, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead casts will be guests on Conan O’Brien during SDCC

This won’t be the first time that Conan O’Brien has talked about San Diego Comic-Con in his late night talk shows, as he and his show was responsible for bringing Triumph the Insult Comic Dog to Comic-Con and insulting many of the attendees.  But this year, Conan himself will be attending Comic-Con as he will be moderating The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 panel!  Yes, I imagine this panel for the final movie of The Hunger Games franchise will most certainly be a lot livelier with the tall ginger moving it along.

What’s also really cool about Conan being involved is that TBS will bring his late night show along for the four-day event and it will be the first late-night show to ever be broadcast from San Diego during Comic-Con.   Of course, will all the star power that’s going to be in San Diego during the week, TBS is taking advantage of it and he has a great lineup of casts to appear on Conan O’Brien during SDCC.  Here’s the official announcement:

When TBS’s CONAN heads to San Diego July 8-11 for a week of shows during Comic-Con® International, the late-night series will showcase the incredible star power coming to town for the annual gathering. Host Conan O’Brien will welcome the stars of three massive pop-culture phenomena: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (Thursday, July 9), Game of Thrones (Friday, July 10) and The Walking Dead  (Friday, July 10). In addition, the show will welcome a special surprise cast from an upcoming film to be unveiled in San Diego. The special week will open with appearances by actor Elijah Wood and The Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.

CONAN‘s Comic-Con episodes will be taped at San Diego’s historic Spreckels Theatre Wednesday, July 8 – Saturday, July 11, including two rare weekend shows. The episodes will air on TBS at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) each night and will be available across TBS and Team Coco’s digital and mobile platforms the following day.

It’s a pretty awesome lineup, but I’m very curious as to who will appear on those surprise nights.  Considering that DCE has made it a point to take full advantage of their presence at the Con (unlike Marvel, which opted to not have a panel regarding its movies,) I wouldn’t be surprised if the cast from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice were to arrive.  But there are definitely others who would be worthy to see on his show as well.  We’ll just have to wait a couple more weeks to find out who.
