We catch up with THE FLASH’s West family at SDCC

The Flash cast presented an impressive panel at San Diego Comic-Con, but before all that, they sat down with The Fandom and other press in some great roundtable interviews! Each cast member dished on their favorite moments from Season 2 and dropped hints at what to expect in Season 3. Take a look at our interviews with the actors behind the beloved West family– Candice Patton, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Jesse L. Martin!

Candice Patton was graceful as ever (even while munching on snacks) as she talked about Iris being “true north” for Barry in any universe, a much different West family in the Season 3 Flashpoint story, and what she’s advocating for the crazy 4-part crossover coming this December.

After a pretty gloomy arc for Wally West last season, Keiynan Lonsdale is so ready for his debut as Kid Flash! He had a lot to say about wearing the Kid Flash suit and the new, more fun side we’ll being seeing from Wally in Flashpoint now that he’s got that superhero swagger.

Candice and Keiynan stayed vague on West family relations, but thankfully, Jesse L. Martin was willing to break it right open!

The veteran actor shared that something harsh happened between Joe and Iris in the Flashpoint universe, after which the two of them don’t maintain a relationship. Joe does have a relationship with Wally, but remains in the dark about his son being Kid Flash. As for Barry? Flashpoint Joe isn’t very fond of him, but he may need Barry more than Barry needs him this time around.

The Flash returns to The CW on October 4, 2016.
