The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has a firm grip on the box office as it maintains it status as the number one movie in the world for a second week in a row! Box Office Mojo reports early estimates indicate the film made another $74.5 million this weekend domestically, with an additional $92.5 million globally. This brings the domestic total up to $296.5 million and international total at $276.4, making it’s haul so far, in just over a week, a very impressive $573 million. If the estimates hold up, it will mean Catching Fire has already made roughly 82% of The Hunger Games $691 million lifetime gross!
Catching Fire has been breaking a number of box office records as well, including the biggest 5-day Thanksgiving weekend take with $110.1 million.
