‘A Celebration of Harry Potter’: what’s in it for you?

If you weren’t able to get your tickets this weekend to head to ‘A Celebration of Harry Potter’ in Orlando, you can still participate in the Proudest House Contest, which will help your house win one million points on pottermore.com.

During the ‘Celebration of Harry Potter’, Pottermore would like you to show and share your house pride by any marvelous or rad ideas that you can possible think of on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. Through writing, pictures (even Gifs), movement, videos, words, just tag your contribution of support towards your house with the hashtag: #GryffindorPride #SlytherinPride #RavenclawPride #HufflepuffPride.

The house with the most support and most displays of pride across these social media channels and apps during #HPCelebration weekend will win one million house points. They can even also get extra points for creative and imaginative contributions. [wink wink]

Just remember that you must use hashtags for it to count! That’s the magic ingredient to winning those house points. 🙂 Also, make sure that you are representing your house, so don’t do or share something that the house head wouldn’t approve of, or that would be bad.

On Thursday, February 5th, Pottermore will evaluate your tagged house pride submissions, count the total amount of tags/submissions, and announce the victorious house. I’m crossing my fingers for my house as well.

Official Terms: The Pottermore Proudest House Contest will take place between 12am EST (5am GMT) January 30 to 11.59pm EST February 1 (4am GMT February 2). The winning house will be announced February 5.

So, help support your house and create those submissions. Use that magic and make them as creative as possible, and for the last time, use that hashtag!
