Watch this cool pre-CGI scene from The Scorch Trials

In this day and age, it’s hard to really surprise, shock, or scare moviegoers, especially when it comes to CGI-heavy scenes. And often behind-the-scenes clips where it shows what was CGI and what was practical can arguably make viewers disinterested in the movie even more. They lose the magic of what the movie is trying to show. But sometimes, watching a pre-CGI scene like this one from Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials can be just as fascinating as the movie itself.

What’s interesting, as some would point out, is the amount of control that the actors have when having to act against these people in motion-capture body suits.  I mean, when you know you’re not going to have your actual face in the movie, why not go a little nutzy when in such a form-fitting outfit.  Now we can see what those people do in pre-CGI scenes!
