Guardians of the Galaxy and Parks and Recreation awesome dude Chris Pratt has been eyed by Disney for the starring role in a possible revival of the Indiana Jones franchise!
According to Deadline, it’s in the very early stages of reviving the popular 80s franchise to made Harrison Ford‘s already big star status into a bigger star status after his run as Han Solo in the original Star Wars movies.
With the success of Guardians of the Galaxy, along with his role as adorable Andy Dwyer on the comedy series Parks and Rec, and his likely upcoming hit movie Jurassic World, he might as well take on the whip and traveling fedora and run with it. Run with it hard!
I’m not one to cheer for remakes, but having Chris Pratt as the swashblucking archaeologist professor just seems to make sense. Indy is every man’s favorite hero. He’s cynical, he’s brave, he’s charming, he’s smart, he’s strong, he’s funny. He’s pretty much Star-Lord on earth. So, yes, let’s do this and make Chris Pratt this decade’s Indiana Jones!
