GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 wraps and creators talk SDCC plans!

James Gunn, Marvel’s director for both Guardians of the Galaxy movies, hosted a live Facebook event on Thursday with star Chris Pratt as the latter wrapped filming on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘s 90-day shoot.

Though Chris Pratt playfully told audiences that Vol. 2 “is gonna be the greatest spectacle film of all time,” the full blue screen set gave away zero details about the film.

James Gunn did, however, share a very exciting reveal: “We are coming to San Diego Comic-Con this year. We’re gonna be there, I’m gonna be there, Chris Pratt is going to be there, a bunch of the gang is going to be there, and we’re gonna show you guys something pretty cool.”

We’re hoping that “something pretty cool” involves some footage, given that it would be great timing for a first tease, as well as some introductory looks at new characters, including Kurt Russell as Star-Lord’s father.

San Diego Comic-Con takes place from July 21st – 24th this year. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
