THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY split takes some hits from CinemaSins!
Oh, the two part finale. It’s become a bit of a trend in Hollywood in the last decade or so, but by the time The Hunger Games franchise made the decision to split up Mockingjay, the backlash was in full swing. While many fans enjoyed the time taken to explore the full story line, it wasn’t a favorite among critics, including the jokesters over at CinemaSins.
In two new videos, the YouTubers are taking ample shots at the final two films in the movie franchise. Some of them appear to be good, sarcastic fun. Others show at little more frustration with the films, particularly the decision for the split.
It’s hard for us to give total credence when any criticism discounts YA stories across the board without consideration for the actual storytelling, but they definitely had a few good points about other things in there and we got a few chuckles!
