We’re all aware that ‘City of Bones’ is fairly popular when it came to the Cannes Film Festival. Well, according to Variety, the budget for 
the movie is $60 million:
Mister Smith practically sold out on “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” in the five days before Cannes, says Moszkowicz, whose Constantin is producing the film. Budgeted at $60 million, it was one of the biggest films on offer on the Croisette.
Apparently, everyone’s excited about the prospect of a Young Adult novel being adapted into a film is very exciting, considering the recent success of The Hunger Games. Can’t wait for filming to start in August!
