Clark Gregg, Lee Pace, and Djimon Hounsou Join CAPTAIN MARVEL

The Marvel Cinematic Universe will make some great callbacks in CAPTAIN MARVEL!

Captain Marvel is taking a blast through the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s past with three casting announcements.

The 90s-set movie gives the studio ample opportunity to play with characters that were previously written out of the universe and they’re taking full advantage. The film recent announced three throwback cast members that show off the film’s fine mixture of Earth’s superhero universe and Marvel’s space-based properties.

Clark Gregg will return to the fold as a younger Agent Phil Coulson of SHIELD. Meanwhile, Lee Pace‘s Ronan The Accuser is back in action terrorizing the galaxy with the help of Korath the Pursuer, played once again by Djimon Hounsou.

Pace and Hounsou’s return especially makes since, given that Carol Danvers’ powers come from the Kree, and who doesn’t love Coulson?

According to Variety, Captain Marvel has just begun principal production. The film is due to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
