Clary’s Love Triangle Rocks The SHADOWHUNTERS World In New Promo

Clary faces an impossible decision in the latest look at SHADOWHUNTERS!

As Shadowhunters Season 2B approaches, Clary Fray will have to face a doozy of a personal decision that could have major implications for the whole team.

Season 1 of the show saw Clary falling for Jace Wayland, only to find out in the season finale that Jace is actually her presumed-dead brother, Jonathan. After lots of awkwardness, Clary seems to have moved on, forming a sweet relationship with her best friend, Simon (and it’s a very genuine, intimate relationship, at that.) However, in the midseason finale of Season 2, Valentine tells Jace that he’s not his son while holding The Soul Sword– which forces its holder to tell the truth. With the pretense of relation dropped, Clary and Jace are free to have feelings for each other once again.

So who will Clary choose? A new promo exclusively released by Entertainment Weekly focuses in on the love triangle, offering up peeks at some BIG scenes fans of the books will recognize along with a hefty dose of angst.

Even though we follow the books, this one’s still going to hurt on screen!

Shadowhunters
returns to Freeform for the second half of Season 2 on June 5, 2017.
