The next TALES FROM THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY novellas will explore THE EVIL WE LOVE and PALE KINGS AND PRINCES.
The fifth and sixth short stories in Cassandra Clare’s TALES FROM THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY now have covers and synopses! Both continue to follow Simon Lewis’ adventures as he learns the ways of the Shadowhunters, but THE EVIL WE LOVE will look back on how Valentine’s reign began– giving us a minor taste of what to expect from THE WICKED POWERS series– and PALE KINGS AND PRINCES will highlight the prejudice faced by twins Mark and Helen Blackthorn, who we’ll see in THE DARK ARTIFICES. Both novellas were co-authored by Robin Wasserman.
The Shadowhunter Academy has only just reopened following the disastrous rise of the Circle. Now the faculty can finally admit to what happened when Valentine was a student.
As a former vampire, Simon’s always been sympathetic to Downworlders. But after a training exercise goes wrong, he gets a glimpse into the Shadowhunters’ prejudice as he learns about the origin of Helen and Mark Blackthorn, principle characters in The Dark Artifices.
The covers for all the TALES FROM THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY novellas will form one full-sized book cover. Though we see bits of Simon’s arm and his bow, both of these are mostly background images of what looks like the Academy itself.
THE EVIL WE LOVE is out June 16th, while PALE KINGS AND PRINCES drops July 21st.
