COVER REVEAL: Cassandra Clare’s CHAIN OF GOLD is especially lustrous

At Cassandra Clare’s QOAAD tour stop in Los Angeles, she revealed the cover for CHAIN OF GOLD, the first book of The Last Hours trilogy.

Cassandra Clare made her way to the Barnes & Noble in The Grove in L.A. last night and along with author Leigh Bardugo (of The Grisha series), they talked about her book, her writing, and Cassie answered some fan questions. Of course, fans were excited to meet her and get their books signed, but the highlight of this stop was the reveal of the Chain of Gold cover, the first book of her next upcoming big Shadowhunters trilogy, The Last Hours.

Cassie explains that the character on the cover is Cordelia Carstairs, one of the main characters in the trilogy. You can see that she’s holding a sword that was first described in The Infernal Devices and is also currently in The Dark Artifices as Emma’s sword, Cortana.

You can check out the book model for the photo on Cassie’s Instagram on the next “page”:

You didn’t have to be there to see the reveal, as it was actually revealed online at Xtinemay’s Youtube channel, where Cassie gets into it more:

Stay tuned for more from Cassie Clare in our exclusive interview with her and some highlights from the event in L.A.
