The cover for the final book of Sally Green‘s Half Bad series has been revealed, and instead of wisps and smoke, we get fire. Half Lost brings half White-half Black witch Nathan’s story to its finale. In the first book, Nathan finds he’s the son of the most evil Black witch there is, and that the White witches and Black witches have been in warring with each other in forever.
In book two, Half Wild, he’s still growing in his powers, but he’s also hunted by both parties of their endless war.
Half Lost will bring Nathan’s story to a close, and if the title is any indication, things don’t get much easier for our favorite young man witch. Nathan is still on the run, but now he has one mission in mind: Find the missing half of an amulet, an ancient artifact that has the power to make its wearer invincible in battle.
As is getting more and more common with young adult literature, a new novella will be released before the final novel. A previous e-novella, Half Lies, which brought Black witches Gabriel and Michele front and center, was released before Half Wild. Half Truths focuses on Gabriel and comes out on November 3, 2015.
Half Lost will be out on March 29, 2016.
Read the *Spoilery* synopsis below, but I recommend it only if you’ve already read the first two books:
Nathan Byrn is running again. The Alliance of Free Witches has been all but destroyed. Scattered and demoralized, constantly pursued by the Council’s Hunters, only a bold new strategy can save the rebels from total defeat. They need the missing half of Gabriel’s amulet – an ancient artifact with the power to render its bearer invincible in battle.
But the amulet’s guardian – the reclusive and awesomely powerful witch Ledger – has her own agenda. To win her trust, Nathan must travel to America and persuade her to give him the amulet. Combined with his own Gifts, the amulet might just be enough turn the tide for the Alliance and end the bloody civil war between Black and White witches once and for all…
