Cover Reveal For TOWER OF DAWN, Sarah J. Maas’ Chaol Spinoff Novel

Bloomsbury switches up THRONE OF GLASS design concepts for TOWER OF DAWN!

If you’re like us, you probably thought Chaol Westfall got the short end of the stick in the Throne of Glass series. He was a great, layered character, that’s been cast aside at every turn. But fear not! Chaol is getting his own adventure in Tower of Dawn and the cover design is finally here!

Introduced via Sarah J Maas’ website, we’re actually getting looks at two different versions of the cover that will be featured in different countries. The US version is a little darker with defined letters and a gloomy cityscape in the background. Both covers have a swirling magic vibe, but the version featured in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand has a pop of bright blue in the shape of wings for a little extra flair.

This book doesn’t particularly match the rest of the series, but remember. Tower of Dawn is a spinoff that takes place in a completely different empire. It’s not really part of the Throne of Glass story, even though it’s set in the same universe and interconnected with Aelin’s tale.

Tower of Dawn hits bookshelves on September 5, 2017. You can preorder now via Amazon.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica—the stronghold of the southern continent’s mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both—and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.
