We’ll get answers on the biggest theory-sparking topic in the galaxy in STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII.
In a galaxy with only two Jedi known left, everyone is abuzz about who, exactly, Rey’s parents are in the new Star Wars universe.
Actress Daisy Ridley let the anticipation slip just a bit in an interview with The Vulture. When asked whether Rogue One‘s Jyn Erso could be related to Rey, she said that Jyn could be her grandma, but expressed doubt about that working out– which basically means no, because Ridley already knows what’s up.
But it’s the simple statement that came next that caught everyone’s attention:
“We will see in a year,” Ridley said. “Just sit tight on that question.”
Looks like the answer will be revealed in Episode VIII! With some many theories going around, (the most popular being that Rey is the daughter of Luke Skywalker), we’re glad that the production isn’t drawing the answers out until Episode IX.
