The original voice actor of Darth Vader is making a surprise appearance in the upcoming STAR WARS film!
James Earl Jones will return to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and voice Darth Vader, everyone’s favorite Sith Lord. He originally voiced the character in 1977 and recently reprised the role in Disney XD’s Star Wars: Rebels. But how much of Vader will we get to see? Executive producer Kathleen Kennedy says he’ll only be in the movie “sparingly”, but “at a key, strategic moment, he’s going to loom large.”
Rogue One is set before the events of A New Hope, so Vader’s presence isn’t as well known, but it is definitely there, in the form of a dark power. Darth Vader also knows the film’s main villain, Orson Krennic, but they are not exactly friends – both are looking to climb the hierarchical ladder of the Empire. The political and palace intrigue makes it sound like a space Game of Thrones, which means with deception comes bloodshed and more lies.
