David Oyelowo joins cast of Doug Liman’s CHAOS WALKING

Two-time Golden Globe nominee David Oyelowo will be joining Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley in the dystopian flim CHAOS WALKING.

It has been announced that Selma actor David Oyelowo has signed on to play the main antagonist for Doug Liman’s dystopian science fiction movie Chaos Walking.

Chaos Walking is the film adaptation of the first book of Patrick Ness’s Chaos Walking trilogy, The Knife of Never Letting Go, which takes place in a dystopian world where there are no women and all living creatures can hear each others’ thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise..  When a young man named Todd, played by Holland, finds a patch of silence, he is forced to flee his hometown and comes across a young woman named Viola, played by Ridley.

Oyelowo will play a man named Aaron, the preacher of Todd’s home, Prentisstown.

David Oyelowo has been recognized in recent years for his work in such films as Lee Daniels’ The Butler, HBO’s Nightingale, and Selma, which was nominated for Best Motion Picture in the 2015 Academy Awards.

You can hear him as the voice of Agent Kallus in Star Wars: Rebels and you can see him in the third installment of the Cloverfield films in February 2018.

Chaos Walking also stars Mads Mikkelson, Nick Jonas, Kurt Sutter, and Demián Bichir, and is set to be released in theaters March 1, 2019.
